The Pharmacy e-Health Information Technology Collaborative (Collaborative) is an organization focused on influencing the structure, development and implementation of the U.S. HIT infrastructure so that the profession’s health information technology (HIT) needs are addressed and integrated into national HIT framework. During this webinar you will learn more about the Collaborative’s work. The importance of standards and certification will be presented to inform members about the rapidly changing rules and regulations developed from the Office of the National Coordinator Health Information Technology (ONC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Learning Objectives 1: Describe the formation and structure of the Pharmacy e-Health Information Technology Collaborative (Collaborative).

Learning Objectives 2: Explain the Collaborative’s focus and objectives related to pharmacist-provided patient care services and pharmacists’ contributions to the Office of the National Coordinator Health Information Technology (ONC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) defined meaningful use (MU) of the electronic health record (EHR).

Learning Objectives 3: Describe how the Pharmacist/Pharmacy Provider EHR functional profile (PP-EHR) and the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Value Set will assist pharmacist in all practice settings to meet the quality measurement goals for the meaningful use of the EHR.
