(March 14, 2012): 8 Pharmacy e-HIT members signed a letter that expresses appreciation for AAFP's paper that points out the important roles that pharmacists can and do play as members of the interdisciplinary patient care team. However, the letter also states that "we believe it is important to describe the actual collaborations that occur every day between pharmacists and physicians in every state, which far transcend the simplistic characterization of pharmacists 'dispensing the prescription written by the physician.'"
